3DS Mania

After hearing one of my friends talk all about it, I've decided to give way too much info on the 3DS. Here  is tons of stuff, good and bad, about it.
  • You want to always make sure that the 3D is fit for you. Some people don't care what level the 3D is on, it works for them, period. Other people are not so lucky to share the same fate. if they don't play in their sweet spot (a place somewhere that you can have 3D looking the cleanest) they will start throwing up. It is also to note that the 3D slider will slip and go down the meter, taking you out of your sweet spot. You might also, depending on the games you buy, want to move the slider up or down, because different games have different levels, so to speak.
  • Don't try to "see" the 3D effect. It will just ruin the feeling of the 3D effect, and hurt your eyes. instead, look at the back screen and you'll "learn" how to see the 3D effect. This will save your eyes the burning sensation that follows trying to look at the 3D.
  • AR games need good sunlight to work properly. otherwise they look terrible and they don't play out as well as you'd like them to.
  • Blow on the mic. to make the icon spin around and around. This is really fun if done over friends back. It can drive them crazy though, trust me. So you better watch out! Great, I must sound like Santa. I spent about 10 min. doing this to a friend. Really, though, watch out. This is also not suggested to do to an easily annoyed friend.
  • You're able to use the gyroscope to control 3D effects when in camera mode. So you would blow into the mic. to get bubbles, sparkles, ETC. Then tip your system downwards, and then you'll see the stuff follow the rules of gravity. ( When I say downwards, I don't mean to lower the 3DS, I mean face the 3DS's two exterior cameras to the ground.)
  • Playing the StreetPass Puzzle Quest is very addictive, And I have to admit that the only one of my friends to own a 3DS (as of the time this was posted) hasn't heard of it. You should try it. It is GREAT. trust me. There are puzzle pieces to collect, and several puzzles to complete. Some of them are Kirby, Pikmin, Zelda, and New Super Mario Bros.
  • The color of the surface of the water matters. In Free Fishing, you are able to catch different fish depending on the color of the "water," you'll be allowed to catch different fish. Red gets you Cheep-Cheeps, for example, and yellow gets you Mr. AR.
  • When you make a Mii, you get asked what your favorite color is. You'll notice that this changes the color of your shirt. But it does more than that, it gives you special powers in StreetPass Quest. Some are environmental conditions and others are elemental attacks.
This is all! There is a list of some 3DS games.
Note: Depending on the time and place you read this, some of the games might of not been released.

Sonic Colors

I was personally worried about this game, but I believe that Sonic has a cheerful , colorful life ahead of him. The game, while a bit on the short side, (10 hours for the main story, at most) is fun and catchy. The new feature is the Wisps, and I like them. Not only do they fit the "Sonic" theme, I think that they are a great gameplay factor that make the game, and they give sonic some insane powers! There are three things I dislike about the game:
-You go so fast that you can't find some of the secret areas that are placed out of the way. You could run along an strait then go though a loop, missing a jump that could get you 10-20 rings.
-You can't find invincibility or shield boxes, and ring boxes are rare. you might be able to get though the whole game without seeing one.
-You can't use a spin dash to get up a slope. This I find very disappointing because in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 I didn't run fast enough, so I needed to spin dash my way out of the slope.
On the opposing side, here are some good things about sonic colors:
+The Special Stage isn't as hard as it used to be. You need 50 rings to get into it. I wish you good luck holding onto them (the rings) and making it!
+ The boss stages are hard. For some people it won't be a surprise and dis me, but what if boss stages where easy? That would be really sad. I mean, look, if the boss stages where easy, then there would be no fun beating them, which might lead to boredness, which would make earning new stages boring, therefor taking away half of the game's fun.
+The opening video is so cool! I hope there is more videos like it, but I think that it is one of a kind. It was still cool, though.

Super Mario 64 DS

This game is an add-on to Super Mario 64. I really like this game, so, depending on what matters most, you might think differently of this game than I do. I will say that if you go to the wall world as Wario, tell me what rabbit you find. whenever I go there (as Wario) I hear a rabbit's footsteps, but I can't find anything. Here are the pros and cons (ups and downs) of the game:
+ story. I know that everyone wishes that Bowser would capture princess peach for a good reason, but here you need to battle him three times, and every one of the arenas are special and only in this game.
+ you don't need to beat every level once, you just need 80 stars to beat Bowser and free princess peach. I'm really thankful for this, especially since I really, really hate ice worlds. The ice is so slippery, and its hard to aim your jumps, making you fall into a pit, hit freezing water, ect. The best thing is that you're able to just skip over them and go onto another "world" (picture.)
+There are 30 secret stars that you can unlock by jumping into certain things (pictures, drawings, a patch of light ect.) and then going though the level and wining.
-Controls. The controls feel faulty, making it hard to make that perfect turn. another thing I dislike is that your supposed to do a mission one way, but people cheat and use cannons(I dislike people who do that) to get to their star.
-Wario. I really wish that he would get a job somewhere else. like being an archaeologist. Wario would make a great archaeologist. I mean, really, he could use his terrible farting power to find an ancient vase. just don't include Wario! (Sorry, Wario fans, I don't like Wario.)

Mario Kart DS

This game is a great game in the Mario Kart series. As the first game in the series to include online game play, you're allowed to play with friends who don't have a game card. there are also numerous power-ups new to the DS. The newest mode is mission mode, a mode exclusive to the DS version. in this mode you will have to do quests, including diving backwards off a bridge and not falling off to beating someone in a race. there is also one boss in each "world" to defeat. Other than beating the Grand Prix, there is still a lot to do in the game. You can always go on rainbow road, (okay, not always, but some of the time) the hardest track in the game. The thing I'd wish that Nintendo did to this game would be to make it so that you can't snake (drifting to get boosts on freeways) online. Probably the best thing you could do is to only play with your friends that don't snake (I have a friend that snakes, I don't know about you) or just deal with it. If you snake I'm begging you, please stop snaking! Not is it annoying, it prevents other people (if they don't snake) from having a chance of winning! If you really have to snake, then do it on your own, where people don't have to worry about you cheating them. I promise you that it is almost as cheap as using an Action Replay! If even that doesn't make you stop, then consider the fact that people will look down on you if you snake, even if you do win. They might not race against you again, if they don't like snaking. Now I should get back to business, and stop protesting against people snaking (that doesn't make it any better, though.) I also would like to say that this IS the first Mario kart game to let you play against friends wirelessly.I'm so nice, I'll give you a video. Nice, huh? ( If you have a 3DS then you  should wait for Mario Kart 7.)

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

This is so cool! Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (Sonic RPG) is the first (and maybe last) Role Playing Game That sonic stars in. the blue blur is now being followed with some other friends as well. (There probably isn't a sequel, and if there is it will probably be on the 3DS) the friends include Tails, Amy, Shadow, and Knuckles. There are also two villains that you get to "play" with. There is a good storyline here that got me and all my friends the first time through. You are also able to control what sonic says, choosing from the helpful (nice) to the downright rude. don't worry, though, you can't loose any team members that way. In fact, it can be downright amusing. Otherwise people should leave this game to a RPG or Sonic the Hedgehog frantic (I being both) because after you beat the game all you can do is level up, collect chows, and watch the storyline again. Even I got tired after 30 hours. I'll get a good video.
